Maintenance!!
Maintenance!!

The past year or so has been quite a ride! The gloom and doom naysayers are as prevalent as ever. Today, I see where the media has said that the polar ice shelf melted due to global warming. The economists still are predicting worse times ahead. It's amazing that some people even believe this sort of negativity! It made me start thinking about the maintenance and training necessary to achieve optimal health, not only physical health but mental health also. Of course, casting a doubt over negative news reporting is just the beginning. There are many options out there to aid in this search. Finding strength in our families and faith are always great ideas. Saving and spending wisely are also on the top of everyone's list. Staying healthy should also be a goal.
Being sick is costly. Trips to the doctors, costs of medicines, or more costly surgical procedures are all likely, if we allow ourselves to become sick. The best way to prevent loss of productivity and losing your hard earned money is to keep yourself in the best working condition as possible.
Most of the ways to keep ourselves healthy can be achieved by simply using our common sense (even though most of us tend to ignore the obvious.) Supply the body with good nutrients in the form of protein, fruits, vegetables, vitamins, and minerals. Crazy fad diets don't work. Eating good foods in moderate portions over a long period of time does!
Another way to keep healthy physically and maintain a strong immune system is to get regular chiropractic adjustments. I have always shared with my patients just how mechanical our bodies are, and like any machine, we must also be well aligned, to support our body weight, and move properly. Just as we perform regular maintenance on our vehicles to keep them running smoothly, as this helps to minimize repairs and extends their life; we also require similar care. Chiropractic, dentistry, diet, exercise, and a healthy family life are all examples of how we maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Proper maintenance on our bodies and minds throughout our life keeps us growing and working properly. Proper function keeps us healthy and strong and able to minimize injury and illness. In the long run, this keeps us more productive allowing us to enjoy and conquer all of life's curves and twists.
At the Rathburn Chiropractic Clinic, our goal is keeping people working better. If you have questions or concerns about you or a family member's health, feel free to contact the clinic. Or better yet, just stop by.
